Located just minutes off the I-91/RT-2 rotary in Greenfield, we serve southern Vermont and the greater Pioneer Valley, including the communities of Amherst, Bernardston, Brattleboro, Deerfield, Greenfield, Erving, Hatfield, Northfield, Shelburne Falls, Sunderland and Whatley.
From Downtown Greenfield:
- Head west on Main Street toward Federal Street
- Turn right onto Wells Street
- GiGi’s Self Storage – Greenfield will be on the right
From Downtown Amherst (UMass & Amherst College):
- Head west on MA-116 N/MA-9 W/Northampton Rd toward South Pleasant Street
- Continue to follow MA-116 N/MA-9 W
- Pass by Chili’s Grill & Bar (on the right in 1.2 miles)
- Use the right lane to merge onto MA-116 N via the ramp to Sunderland/South Deerfield
- In 9.9 miles, turn right onto US-5 N/Greenfield Road
- Turn left onto MA-116 N
- Merge onto I-91 N via the ramp to Greenfield/Brattleboro
- In 6.9 miles, take exit 43 for MA-2 W/MA-2A E toward Greenfield Center/North Adams
- At the traffic circle, take the 1st exit onto MA-2A E
- Proceed onto Mohawk Trail
- Continue to Main Street
- Turn left onto Wells Street
- GiGi’s Self Storage – Greenfield will be on the right
From Northfield:
- Head west on School Street toward Main Street
- Turn left onto Main Street
- Turn right onto MA-10 S
- In 4.5 miles, merge onto I-91 S via the ramp to Greenfield/Springfield
- In 4.6 miles, use the left lane to take exit 46 for MA-2 E toward Boston
- Continue onto MA-2 E
- Slight right to merge onto MA-10 S/US-5 S/Bernardston Road toward Greenfield
- Turn right onto Silver Street
- Turn left onto Silver Place
- Turn right onto Wells Street

From Brattleboro, VT:
- Head east toward Canal Street
- Turn right onto Canal Street

- Continue onto MA-2 E

After nearly two years abroad, I finally came back to empty my storage unit at the Greenfield location—and I honestly didn’t know what to expect. I had packed up my entire apartment: bedding, furniture, dishes, books, appliances, even my mom’s wedding dress. I figured there *had* to be something—maybe a few bugs, that slightly musty smell, or signs that time had passed.
But when we opened the unit with the movers… it looked exactly the same as the day I locked it.
No bugs. No odors. No damage. Everything was just as I left it.
I was genuinely amazed. These air-tight units did exactly what they promised, and then some. On top of that, the staff made me feel completely confident from day one—they were helpful, responsive, and clearly care about keeping your belongings safe.
We also absolutely loved the rubber flooring and how tightly the doors sealed—it gave the whole space a clean, secure, almost climate-controlled feel. It genuinely felt like a luxury unit, not just storage.

Climate-Control Unit Review - Greenfield
I needed a climate-controlled unit to store family items and keepsakes, so cleanliness was really important to me. GiGi’s exceeded my expectations—the entire building is incredibly clean and well maintained. It feels safe and professional, not like some of the older facilities I’ve seen. The staff was also kind and helpful, which made the whole experience even better.
